I like obamacare, let me tell you why.
With Obamacare: More than 5 million seniors have collectively saved $3.2 billion on prescription drugs. 86 million Americans have received preventive services such as checkups or cancer screenings. Insurance companies can no longer drop patients when they get sick. 105 million Americans no longer face lifetime caps on care. Soon, 30 million more Americans will have health coverage. For the first time, women have access to free, lifesaving preventive care services. Soon, being a woman will no longer be a pre-existing condition. Children with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied coverage. 2.5 million young people have gained insurance by staying on their parents coverage. Women are put in charge of their own health decisions. Technology is cutting costs, delivering personalized care and investing in cutting edge bio-medical research. Women will no longer be charged more than men for the same coverage. And yet we're still behind most other industrialized countries on health care of our citizens. Most of the opposition to Obamacare is from Republicans. Polls have shown, time after time, that when quizzed, those that oppose it, have not read it, and do not understand it. Their opposition is purely political. I suspect it's more anti-Obama than anti-Obamacare. Their opposition compares to the famous slogan by the tea party, "Down with government, but don't touch Medicare" It's "What's the Matter With Kansas", on a national scale. I like Obamacare and so should all rational citizens.
