If you're thinking about writing your first novel, DON'T !! A novel has paragraphs, quotes, periods, commas, chapters, spell check and lots of other problems attached to it. It stops many budding authors in their tracks. Instead, DO tell a story to a friend. Did you ever start a long story to a friend by announcing, "Chapter One" at the outset??? Of course not. Tell the story, forget chapterizing. If necessary name your computer after your favorite friend and type as if you were talking to him. More to come.
