Earlier this week I spent the whole afternoon with a retired official from the ILWU. The history of the Longshoremen's Union is fascinating and I needed some background for my next book, JUSTICE FOR JOSHUA. This particular gentleman had spent over 30 years as a union member, both on the docks and as an administrator. Much of what he told me is finding its way into the book.
